Ipoh Ipoh
Hi guys, sorry for not updating much!
been so busy with the bieber contest. yknow when i'm determined to do something, i'll jolly well get to it and nothing can really stop me. at first, cause of a friend whom kinda mattered alot to me.. i wanted to back out. then after some complications i've decided not to. i don't even deserve that fucking harsh comment. so... even if i don't win this contest, i'll still cry.
happy & sad. i put so much effort and time into this, but still lost. but good thing is, some people are really nice to help/support me. thank you ♥
Now a little update on Ipoh!
first 2 days i was really eager to take pictures here and there.. then i got really lazy cause there wasn't much to take except for their FRICKIN AWESOME FOOD. so bear with this a-little-too-wordy post ;)
2nd April 2011 - 7th April 2011
1st day: bus ride. a friggin 8-9hours ride.
stayed at yeye's cousin's 2-storey house, big rooms, me likey
2nd day:
breakfast @ cafe kim keei
their stalls damn cool, not like SG. they don't have individual stalls, theirs are just metal shelves and all holding their dishes and ingredients.
seafood horfun. (Y) x 1000000
some cave we went to after that.
this resembles someone i know.
i always see this in shows. yknow those trees where you write your wishes/prayers, connect it to an orange and toss em' up a tree? THIS!
lunched at a popular restaurant after that, hmm the food was pretty average!
settled for dinner at only RM2 = 80c to 1$ \m/
3rd day: went to mama's sister's place to stay :(
yeye's cousins were nice to drive me around though! went to Parkson.
so we had oyster mee sua for lunch, didn't know they serve in bowls cus SG don't.?
yeye's cousins!
dinner was with mama's side relatives.
MEGA AWESOME. their otah was sooo good, and their rendang chicken too. and egg tofu.
it was like a huge party in my mouth!!!
4th day: breakfast at a wet market!
mama's childhood friend still here!!
mama's like a superstar, when her friend saw her she's like "Eh! Yokeying!"
anyway, she sells delicious chee cheong fun, cannot find in SG.
cute yeye smiling at good food :)
THEIR UNFORGETTABLE MOUTH-WATERING YONG TAU FOO.
(Y)(Y)(Y)
AND UNFORGETTABLE #2 CRIPSY SOFT EGGTARTS
which i will probably regret for life cause i only ate fcking 1/2 of one. -.-
went to Jusco! which has nothing i wanna get :(
so just got a pack of chocettes and marie claire mag to occupy my time! ;)
dinner was at mama's sister's place! home-cooked food ftw.
5th day: breakfast at wet market again! really gotta eat the ccf & ytf again :D
this time... we ordered tau huey...
and i tell you...
doesn't look that appetizing on picture right?
HA, IT'S FRICKIN AWESOME. IT'S SOOOO SOFT AND SMOOTHE LIKE IDK WHAT.
heh.
so... went back to Parkson to get more stuff since Jusco didn't have anything. then cabbed to a place to buy 'heong peng' (xiang bing), and cabbed home!
their cab is so reasonable & cheap, despite the not-so-comfy car.
they'll straight tell you the price after you tell them your destination. like, RM7?
LOL, when you get up a cab in SG it's already RM 7.
6th day: HOME :(
budget airplane, firefly!
at first i told mama i was scared cause it's budget. so she scolded me and said she took before everything was fine. hahaha. it was kinda comfy actually, since its only an hour and a half flight :)
this was what i was longing to buy ever since i smelt it. so went to Duty Free Shop after touching down at SG and bought it.
it was a fruitful trip and i really don't mind going again.
internet excess, shows, shopping, good food. omg, that's the life i want!
