Jalan Kayu

It was a public holiday yesterday because of Deepavali :)
So my family decided to go to Jalan Kayu for some delicious prata and then visit the animal farm after that. If I'm not wrong the prata shop is called: Cafeela
1 plain prata + 1 egg prata
My usual order, as always. Together with a cup of milo :)
Crispy!
Mutton
My family loves meat! And the dish above is super good. But it costs 6 bucks :(
I think there's a more popular prata shop called Thasevi further down the road. Shall try it someday :)

After breakfast, Dad drove further down to The Animal Resort.

There's this cute parrot at the entrance..... Super entertaining!!
When I walked past it, it said "HELLO!" And I went like "omg who said that"
And then I realized it was the parrot!!

"Hello!"
So my family was standing in front of its cage and it started doing stunts for us. Like how monkeys do. But instead of using their hands, which parrots do not have, it used its beak instead!
I took a video of it...... But the uploader is being a bitch so :(

Amelia holding 3 bags of food for the animals!
The Animal Resort sells packets of food for us to feed the animals. Quite smart uh, they earn money for the food, and at the same time the animals get fed. Last time it used to be paying any amount of money you want, like a donation, but now they sell it at 1 packet for $1, 3 for 2$. So obviously we got 3 packets!

So we went into this little hut. There're bunnies and guinea pigs in them. Super adorable~~

I don't know what're these called, but they're quite elegant. My dad took some food and left them on the railing for them to eat. And before it dared to eat the food, it stared at all of us. So my mom told all of us to step back, and then that big bird moved forward and quickly pecked on the food!

"WILD" geese
These fellas are super scary. All of us in the little hut shunned them when we saw them approaching. They made super loud noises like OUAK OUAK OUAK!! I think they're hungry..... Cause once a little boy started feeding them, they kept following him!! Hahaha that boy's super brave, he just let them peck on his hand.

Me feeding a bunny~
Mom and Sis feeding 2 cute lil bunnies!
Guinea pigs in their made-shift house
At the Animal Resort there's a horse, a goat, ducks, geese, parrots, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and dogs! Well, the parrots and dogs are not for feeding. I think the dogs are for adoption instead.

So yep that's how I spent my morning of Deepavali.
Then I spent the afternoon sleeping and then meeting Bboy for teabreak.

Looking forward to tomorrow and the weekends! ♥‿♥
