Internship Week #6 ✈ Philippines
♫ Now Playing: 22 - Taylor Swift ♫
WUSSUUUUUUP!
It's a Monday and I ain't got Monday blues ;)
Gonna head out for breakfast with Annice, bake with Cora, dinner at Grandma's and meet Lady K at night.
So our Driving Change journey is 4/5 completed and we're done traveling!
Am having mixed feelings. I really enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and their food, getting adrenaline rushes, and feeling your heart smile inside. But a small part of me will always miss home. Ack.
Kelly was so sweet to send me off on the last trip thank youuuuu :-*
What a good start to the trip with someone close sending you off isn't it?
DAY #1
Returned the camera to Evon and now whatever pictures I take with the phone feel so insufficient and yucky. Didn't really snap as much this trip. Sigh DAD PLEASE GET A NEW CAMERA.
Sat on SQ to Manila!
Best meal on the plane. Period.
Poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce, sausage, potatoes and tomato. Came with a meringue hazelnut cake, fruits and a bread roll too.
Man the traffic was HORRID. Everywhere you go you have to plan more time for travel.
It made me thankful for Singapore's traffic control, trains, buses etc. Hahaha.
Arrived at Midas Hotel & Casino.
Loved the big bed.
Went to Amazing Race Philippines event at Dragon Club with the crew at night.
Secretly fangirled over the host Derek Ramsay hehe ;)
People asked me to choose between Niall or Ramsay and at the spur of the moment I chose the latter.
HAHAHA.
DAY #2
Breakfast at Midas Cafe.
Went to 3 radio stations after that to promote Driving Change and getting help.
It was such a good experience going to different radio stations and seeing how similar or different they are like. It even made me want to work in one!
Went to Smokey Mountain where the Field of Dreams is at. (Pix below)
Smokey mountain definitely does not have the best environment to livein. But even so, all the kids look so happy!!! I found myself smiling when I saw them smiling.
Such a shame to be complaining when we have everything needed in life...
Stopped for lunch at RACKS.
In Philippines, many people travel by the Jeepney.
It's something like a taxi and a bus, merged together hahaha.
People just get on and then get off at their desired destination.
If not mistaken it's probably 12 pesos a ride?
Went to a conference meeting at night at F1 Hotel.
Yay dinner!!
DAY #3
Breakfast at Midas Cafe.
Headed to Field of Dreams to check out the improvements that were going to be made.
150 - 200 volunteers were there to help!! :)
Stopped for lunch before going to a sports store to get equipment for the kids.
General shots of the sea!! Beautiful.
Back to Smokey Mountain to check out the progress then to Caltex Station to check out the donations that people have made! A lot of sports gear were donated to the children :)
Ended the day with pictures!!
With cohost Marc Nelson. He's a tv host/actor/model in Philippines ;)

Got this pic with Henry the night before before heading to the club event :)
Country Producer, Johanna!
Super hilarious Robbie :)
Midas burger for dinner in the room.
DAY #4
I obviously missed the event because I had to fly back to Singapore first.
But the kids were having a soccer event with celebrities! Such a pity to miss it :(
Guess what I got for myself?

HAHAHA after 10000 years I've finally decided to get this bottle of fruity smelling goodness!
Been contemplating between this and Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck because both smell so good and I've been wanting to them eons ago. Oh well I just hope Santa will drop me a bottle during Christmas ;)
THE CHRISTMAS ARE OUT IN STARBUCKS STORES AND I'M HAPPY :D
Alright Ta everyone have a good Monday.
