Through His Eyes

He used to wait by the window and ask "Where's Mama?"

He would stand at the gate to wait for her to come back.

He used to wake up in the middle of the night, drag his feet to the kitchen and start washing up, thinking that it was morning and time for breakfast.

But as time passes he became frail and weak, and waited for time to pass.

And just like that... he's gone.

I had three photo sequences due on Tuesday and I was honestly too tired to panic. I was afraid of failing but on the other hand I couldn't care less because what could possibly affect an already broken heart? So for the 3rd photo sequence I was supposed to submit 5 pictures of a place that is significant or symbolic to me. And while I was at Grandma's place, it struck me that that was it. All along my grandparents' place has been a sanctuary for me. So why not take this opportunity to also commemorate my beloved Grandpa who had suddenly departed. I've decided to title this photo sequence
Through His Eyes.

Sometimes I'll be okay but other times it would randomly hit me that he's gone. For real. Never coming back. Never gonna smile at me. Or listen to me. Or be my best friend. He had such a charming smile that nobody could forget even if they tried. And when that hit me I would feel extremely bewildered and just burst into tears. But guess what? At the end of the day, we can't help it. Life goes on. It sucks that I'm not allowed to grieve that much. I feel like I haven't gotten a proper amount of time just to cry. So what? People will still drop a bomb on you, no matter how sad or depressed you are. Because ultimately all they care about are themselves. Just like you and I. When we are upset, we only care about ourselves. So we vent our frustrations on others. It's a vicious cycle.

What's new?
