Tim Ho Wan
I know I'm a little late on the Tim Ho Wan bandwagon but... Boy were the char siew buns heavenly.
I literally went "Oh my Gawd, yum???"
Grandma was really sweet to treat me to dim sum during my recess week, so we headed to Toa Payoh's THW outlet. We went there for brunch so there wasn't a lot of people. I have to emphasise that I really hate queuing or waiting for food. The feeling of being so close yet so far... My heart and stomach can't take the torture *inserts palm emoji*
Char Siew Buns - Crispy crust on the outside, soft fluffy texture on the inside,
filled with sweet minced char siew (pork) YUM.
Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun - The skin was too thin too my liking. I like chewy thicker CCF skin.
It's like the ratio of the skin to the char siew filling is 1:5. The filling tasted quite alright.
Fried Carrot Cake - Nothing fantastic, it was too soft!!!
Spinach Dumpling With Shrimp - MEGA LOVE. I love the skin, I love the spinach, I love the shrimp.
Everything about this makes my heart sing. I can eat 10 baskets of these :')
Har Gow (prawn dumpling) - I love their har gows too. Chewy skin, not too thick, not too thin. And the prawn tasted pretty fresh.
Steamed Egg Cake - It's actually Malay Cake if I'm not wrong. For a sweet tooth like me, I wish the taste was sweeter.

So yep, Grandma and I finished everything. I'm so glad that both of us are big fans of dim sum.
There was a period of time I had to stay away from dim sum though. It was due to an incident of diarrhoea when I was 16. Felt nauseas every time I see dim sum or those sweet cheese rings tidbits.
Up till now I still daren't lay my hands on those tidbits. It's a phobia alright!

Meeting Annice for lunch and to hang out tomorrow, yay ;)
