July Happenings + Sugar
I'm here to write because school's starting in 2 days' time.
Supposedly Tuesday but I'm dropping the mod on Tues so... ;)
Here are some overdue pix from July!
1. The night we went to watch MEETING THE GIANT.
Thank you Mela for the tickets and for driving us back home!
Super proud of my girl for getting her license. Hehehe looks like I'm the only one who does't have one.
2. The day we gymed.
E and I decided to be healthy one morning and headed to the gym.
We jogged next to each other while listening to music. That's one of the best feelings ever don't you think? Spending time with the people you love. Not having to talk, just having each others' presence is enough. We then rewarded ourselves to a local breakfast at the market. Soy bean milk mixed with chin chow, chee kueh and chee cheong fun. Standard breakfast orders back in CCHY :)
3. The day Jed came to find me for lunch.
Shawty came to find me for lunch before I start work.
We had genki sushi and caught up quite a bit, as usual :)
Thanks for the always traveling to find me!
4. The day we sold our clothes at a flea.
This was our reward at Tiong Bahru Bakery after selling of pretty much all our clothes at the flea held at Lucky Plaza. E and I were really proud of ourselves.
BESTIES FOR LIFE!!!
5. The day I met my primary school friend.
I had a best friend in primary 1 and I remembered her ever since.
We stopped contacting of course. Bumped into each other once in awhile on the bus during sec school cuz we live near each other. Started chatting on facebook. And then writing letters.
Then this holiday we finally decided to meet!
I am so glad that we're in touch again :')
We had lunch at Bistro Cool, Suntec City.
My smoked salmon cream pasta.
Really rich and creamy. Nothing can go wrong with smoked salmon yea?
Just wished the pasta could be more tasty. A little plain for me.
Deb had prawn aglio olio and it was just to her liking :)
And we shared a portion of truffle fries which were delish when dipped into tangy tomato sauce!
6. The night I met the band peeps for dinner.
Meeting up with sec school friends is always the best.
My fav band peeps in sec sch. We had dinner at Saizeriya and caught up quite bit!
Missing Lindy though. Can't wait for her to return to SGP.
*** Anyway, congratulations on your graduation Sweets!!! :)
Super proud of you.
7. The day I had lunch at Glacier.
Yes, I have lunches on my own. And no, I don't feel awkward.
In fact I enjoy eating alone cuz I don't enjoy talking while eating. That's why most of the time I'll be quietly eating while my friends chat away. ANYWAY I managed to snag this plate of waffle and froyo at $3+ all thanks to SUGAR.
Was super full after that plus it didn't feel sinful at all!!!
8. The day I had lunch with Annice.
We wanted to try Lola's Cafe but the queue was insane. We were starving so ain't nobody got time to queue?!?! We settled for Ice Edge cafe which was nearby.
Tried their tom yam seafood linguine.
I must say it's quite good. Personally I like tangy tomato based pastas. So this was good for me.
Just a tad too spicy for my liking otherwise it's perf!
XOXO
9. The night we dined at Swensen's.
Momsy treated us to Swensen's one night and I had chicken breast SAY WHATTTT?
It was... OK.
She had the black pepper pasta. And sis had the aglio olio as usual.
WE SHARED SIZZLING APPLE CRUMBLE WITH ICE-CREAM :D
I love Swensen's pan desserts!!!
10. The day my best friend turned 21.
"Isn't she lovely? Isn't she wonderful? Isn't she precious?"
Went early to help out with E's party before it started.
Watching her prepare for the party feels as though I'm watching her prepare to get married.
It was a proud yet bittersweet moment. Not sure how to explain but she's really important to me!!!
3 peas in a pod! ;)
Me with my fellow photographer of the day.
Eat also can look so pretty lol I can't even.
DELICIOUS CAKE I WANTED TO SHOVE MY FACE IN IT.
Strawberry earl grey short cake <3 p="">3>
HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTIE!!!
You're the prettiest that night and also every day in my heart. Hope that we made your party a memorable one, that you like the presents we got you, and the playlist I made.
I thank God all the time for your existence because if not for you I wouldn't be who I am today.
Thanks for encouraging me and putting up with me. Sharing with me your sadness, your joy and whatever good things you have. You were never calculative towards me but always so nice and patient with me. Anyone could just give up on me but you did not.
Don't you worry, because I'm here to stay!!! And bug you forever.
Until the day I mati. <3 p="">3>
Stayed over at the chalet, chatted till 4am (as usual), slept for 3 hours and then woke up for breakfast.
I even had work at 4pm that day but it was worth it!!!
Check out E's detailed post about her birthday here >> http://1irritatingadd0.blogspot.com
Where she got her cake, decor, food etc.
11. The day we wrapped up.
Excuse my just-gotoutta-bed hair while my partner looks fab as always.
Finally finished editing for the UOB film!!! After what seemed like forever.
Thank God, an efficient partner and professional editors ;)
12. The day I had Teatozz.
Snagged this cuppa bobba tea at only $0.60 thanks to SUGAR app again!?!?
Loved their chewy pearls cuz I love chewy pearls!!! :)
And I like how the milk that they use for the green tea is different from other shops.
Super creamy.
Anyway guys, Sugar is an application on the app store (which is free) whereby you can download and discover new spots in Singapore depending on your interest! They've been adding really good food places, places to shop at and also places to have a little bit of adventure. You can reduce the prices simply by tapping 'skim' and then share it with your friends. Once you've 'skimmed' it to the lowest price, you can click 'buy' and enjoy your purchase after that by redeeming at the merchant itself!
It's really fun and easy to use, especially if you're a foodie and likes exploring!!!

Stay tuned for the next food post coming right up!
Have a great Monday x
