M(-a-)ki San!
Saw people post pictures of DIY sushi on instagram so Mela and I decided to try the sushis from Maki San to see what's all the rave about. It's located at the basement in The Cathay, Dhoby Ghaut.
The decor of Maki San is really unique and bright. Love the 3D sushi!
The sushi 'bar' is at the entrance where you can choose the ingredients you want. They have a wide array of ingredients to choose from!!! Look at the menu/list below:
They have little san, medium san and mega san.
Mela and I were already filled with a little san each. So if you're a big eater you can try medium or mega!
One thing I love about dining at Maki San is the really cute packaging!! I'm a sucker for pretty and colourful packaging. Kudos to the Japanese for that.
I chose the sushi and vege on black background box for my sushi while Mela chose the mushrooms :)
Time to dig into my little san! I chose grilled zucchini, tempura mushrooms, crabstick, japanese fish flakes and mayo! Love the crunch the tempura gives. I'll probably try the teriyaki sauce if I go there again next time. If your pockets are feeling a little heavy that day, you can add specials like beef or smoked duck or salmon.
So go get yourself a sushi fix! They have iced tea and green tea too.

A little update about myself! Jed and I left our company... Long story.
I actually woke up at 7.40am this morning cause I'm already used to waking up early for work.
And I just laid in bed and miss working.
I hope I can be equally productive or even more at home.
Still contemplating whether I should apply for another job now.
And whether should I stick to a media-related job or F&B. Cause you know how much I'd love to be around food. Oh well, waiting for God's guidance.
Have a good day everyone! x
