Prawning @ Punggol

Went to Hai Bin @ Punggol to catch prawns with my cousin's family on Hari Raya!
Am grateful that he called me along. It's almost impossible for me to turn down family outings... Unless school work is really driving me nuts. But I always feel that we should make time for fun :)
Happy me with a prawn :)

Funny story. Every time I catch a prawn I'll flick it up really slowly... So sometimes the prawn will run away but the ones I caught couldn't escape their fate. I'll shout repeatedly "Derek! Derek! Derek!"
Cause I have no idea how to remove the prawn from the bait. And I would wish that the food is still on the rod so that I wouldn't have to dirty my hands by putting new meat. My cousin would say "Let it (the prawn) have its last meal!!!"

Cous with his huge ass tiger prawn!!!

Uncle got us Popeye's so... Interpret this picture however you want ^

Fascinated by their long blue pincers. They look harmless but they're deceiving aite!

Pluck up the courage and held the prawn by its head. The trick is to pinch the head and its body together. It's like holding a person by his or her neck I think.

VIOLA!!! Our catch of 19 prawns :')

First time prawning and t'was a really good experience. Beginner's luck makes me happy.
Can't wait to prawn again during the December hols.

2 more official teaching weeks and then 3 more unofficial weeks of school before the holidays.
Can't. Wait. Smiling from ear to ear whenever I think about the amount of things I'll get to do then.
Ciao.
