TWG + Irvin's Seafood
I had a great Friday last week as I got to eat some really delicious food :)
Plus it was a nice mini gathering with my secondary school friends.
Annice was so sweet to get macarons from TWG for Evan and I while she was at town.
E told me that Annice tagged us in a photo on Instagram with macarons in it and when I saw I was literally dancing and screaming 'YAY MACARONS!' Hahaha.
When she delivered the macarons to us, I immediately whipped out my camera and took some mandatory shots. The macarons looked so colourful and exquisite in the box with golden inner lining. They were so pretty we couldn't bear to eat....
LOL who am I kidding we chomped em' up within 10 minutes.
My favourite flavours were:
Rose (light pink), Berry (dark pink), Earl grey + Choc (light brown),
Praline (dark brown), Caramel (black)
I must say our tastebuds are quite good as we managed to figure out the flavour quite quickly.
Gosh they were such a treat. Thank you so much bbcakes! ♥
The 3 of us girls then met up with Jacky and Glenn for dinner at Irvin's Seafood.
It's located at Upper Thomson. Been passing by that stretch of road in the car but never gotten the chance to try the seafood. FINALLY the day has come.
Cereal prawns - This was quite good, tasted like how normal cereal prawns would've tasted.
Belachan clams - I could tell everyone was loving this dish cause we started giving each other vacant shells. HAHAHA.
Coffee pork ribs - I love this!!! I love coffee ribs yum yum.
BBQ eel - The sauce was really tasty but the meat seemed to be a little over done.
Chili crab - Tasted like tomato sauce with chili ketchup. I thought chili crab gravy was supposed to be a little more runny and spicy but this tasted sweet. Not a fan.
Salted egg yolk crab - EVERYONE WAS DIGGING THIS DISH.
We (E & I) ordered 2 plates of fried buns just so that we could dip them into the salted egg gravy.
The gravy complimented the crab so well that I was inwardly screaming for joy. The flesh was tender too. Yum!!!

We also ordered long beans for vegetables but they looked and tasted rather mediocre so I didn't take a picture. It seemed like a lot of dishes for 5 people but do not be deceived! The first four were dishes individually meant for 2 people. So I guess the 2 extra plates of crabs, fried buns and rice filled us up to the brim.
After dinner, we strolled back to the car and Jack drove us further up to Udders for dessert :)
I love honeycomb vanilla & baileys!!!! ;)
Itching to try the other flavours. Salted Caramel was on renovation when we were there.
