KYUSHU 2013 (PART 5)

DAY 5
Finally a different style of breakfast served at the hotel!
We were given 3 choices. Japanese set, Sandwich set and American set.
My Aunt, Sis and Mom chose the sandwich set.
I obviously got the classic American breakfast, duh. Eggs and bacon > everything.
The croissant and toasts were perfect. Slap on some butter and you're good to go :)

MT. ASO + SNOW
We were warned that it'll be especially cold that day. Didn't know that it'd be THAT cold.
Once we got off the bus, the wind never gave chance.
The pavements were piled with snow and ice!
Tried the Aso milk and boy was it creamy!!! :')
The family took a cable car up to the mountains to catch a glimpse of the volcano while I stayed with Grandma at the cafe. Heard that the wind and sulphur were ridic up there!

SPECIAL BEEF + HORSE SASHIMI
Our tour group shared this box of special beef imported from Hokkaido. How do we know it's legit beef? The paper next to it is a certificate.
Loved da ramen :D
Loved the soft silky tofu dipped in sesame sauce.
Horse sashimi. Interesting taste but texture's like rubber. Not a fan.
The tour guide skipped his lunch to cook the special beef for us and then rushed a bowl of ramen before leaving. He's a tour guide who knows how to cook. As a matter of fact, he cooks for his family when he's on break. So nice :)
SPECIAL BEEF TASTED EXTREMELY SPECIAL AND FATTY AND RICH.
I will never forget the taste T_T

SAMURAI VILLAGE OF SOME SORT
Went to visit a place where Samurais used to live.
Saw a number of Japanese children there and they were just released from school.
Carrying their little backpack, a file and a neatly packed lunchbox while chatting heartily with their buddy while walking down the slope. Such a cute scene :)
They were so polite!!! I was observing them and while they passed by they would greet "Konnichiwa!"
Mt. Fuji!

BEST DINNER EVER
All my favourite foods combined in one set.
Shabu shabu + tempura + beef + sashimi + bbq pork :')
Went to sleep with an extremely full and happy stomach!
