Seoul 2014: Day 1

ANNYEONG HASEYO EVERYONE!!!

I am back from Seoul (since Sunday) and have been working since.

My colleagues even asked me why I came to work when I touched down just the night before.

Because broke girl me needs the money that's why?!

Let's start with day 1 of the trip... Not many pictures for the first day cuz I was so overwhelmed.

It felt like a dream to be in Seoul. From going to the airport, to boarding the plane, to the arrival...

I was busy looking at stuff and stuffing myself with all the delish food :')

Anyway we took a midnight flight! I love night flights.

I told my mom cause 'got feel'. Hahaha especially if you get the window seat, you get to look at the stars in the velvety night sky. Really an amazing sight. However this time we got the aisle seats.

And since I was already tired I thought might as well, since I was just gonna sleep anyway.

I was looking forward to breakfast before I even got up the plane. I refused to sleep before receiving the menu. Am always curious to what I'll be served. As usual, the muffin is hard as rock and left untouched. Loved the veil sausage and scrambled eggs tho :)

Touched down Seoul at approx 7 plus am.

Took the airport limo bus to a place near our hotel. We stayed at The Summit Hotel @ Dong Dae Mun! I think I have a picture somewhere... Will find it soon. Left our luggage at the hotel cuz we could only check in at 2pm. Went for lunch at LOTTE FITIN!

Octopus Bibimbap + Kimchi + Preserved beancurd + Soup

Would be perfect if it wasn't so oily at the bottom!!! Mad flavourful though.

Went back to the hotel to check in, took a nap, washed up, and headed out for shopping and dinner.

Ate this seriously weird 'J' shaped cone with vanilla ice-cream!!!

Hahaha it's called a Corn Stick. It tasted quite good actually. Crispy.

Next to LOTTE FITIN were several other malls. One of which was DOOTA. Hahaha.

We also went to aPM, Migliore and Goodmorning City. They're pretty much the same, selling the same clothes... It's like Singapore's Bugis Street but with many levels.

DINNER!!!!!

Shared with Mom some mari and spicy tokppokki (rice cakes)!

The sushi tasted really unique and I liked it!!! One of them is kimchi, the middle is sweet ikan bilis and the last is tuna if I'm not wrong. Super tasty when accompanied with mayo. 

The rice cakes were too spicy though :'(

Ate a strawberry crepe right after my dinner :')

Ate dippin' dots ice-cream right after my strawberry crepe :'')

My stomach was on a roll that night. I could hear it laugh with joy HAHAHA.

I LOVE SEOUL'S NIGHT LIGHTS.

This was only the first night btw.

Ok I know ^ this looks nothing fascinating but it does move and the colours change. Really pretty!

^ The malls were opposite Dong Dae Mun history and culture park! :)

That's the station nearest to our hotel.

Called it a night after that.

Things are pretty ex at LOTTE FITIN whereas for the other Bugis street-like malls, things are more affordable. But of course the clothes are FITIN are more stylish and cooler in my opinion.
