Seoul 2014: Day 4 & 5
Last update for my 2014 Seoul Trip!!! :)
DAY 4
We had breakfast at A Twosome Place. Heard that one of the branches was opened by some kpop star. Can't really remember who but it doesn't matter... Because the ambassador for the cafe was none other than the tall, handsome and charming LEE MIN HO. *screams internally*
The cafe was situated opposite our hotel, which makes things very easy :)
Seriously wanted to drag the standee back home to SGP so that he sit in my bedroom and creep on me while I sleep. HAHAHA.
Ya here's a funny story.
There was actually an A4 sized advertisement poster standee of Lee Min Ho and a cuppa joe with a dessert that they were tryna sell. Being the crazy me, I went to ask if they had an extra poster for me. Not sure if the lady understood what I was saying but she ended up just giving me the poster LOL.
I was over the moon and managed to enjoy my breakfast very satisfied.
Also, the hot chocolate and toasted brioche with berries + whipped cream were FANTABULOUS.
One more closeup cause t'was that good!!!
I loved the sandwich too sigh :')
After that we took the subway to visit Changdeokgung Palace. It's around Hanok Village if I'm not wrong. Didn't venture into the village cuz we wanted to head for more shopping after that.
^ The station's so vintage don't you think? Pretty.
Hi Claire!!! :)
^ This my mom in deep thoughts. Lol jk maybe not.
Can someone please go tell her she looks young and totes not fat at all???
I mean IF you think I'm pretty too then you should know that I got it from my mama.
HAHAHAHAHA #noshame.
On our way there... The roads were so uneven that I sprained my ankle =_=
Also cause I was wearing my creepers cuz everyone looks so tall there I didn't wanna feel inferior.
Guess it's fate. I will always be short no matter how hard I try.
Clever girl made a hat to cover her face from the sun with the palace pamphlet hahaha.
The palace was huge and we were wondering how it'd be like living in the princess's or queen's quarters. Sigh, a girl can dream.
We took a bus to Seoul Station after that. What I like about Seoul is that they have random bus stops almost everywhere? Like we wanted to walk all the way back to the subway station but then I saw a bus stop along the way that says it goes to Seoul Station so yay!
^ The reason why we (mainly I) wanted to head to Seoul Station is because of Lotte Mart.
One of the biggest supermarkets in Seoul. Every single time I travel I have to go to their supermarket and grab heaps of food that my body don't need. Let's just say it's my kind of souvenir, instead of the keychains, plush toys, etc.
Cold noodles that had an interesting and refreshing taste!
My all time fav BIBIMBAP!!! :') I love the red sauce that makes everything delicious + kimchi of cuz.
We headed back to the hotel and put down all my groceries before heading back to Myeongdong for some last minute shopping. I didn't shop much cuz I was hungry and all I did was binge on junk food. Twister potato, waffles and cream, cuttlefish etc.
YUM I LOVE ALL THEIR STREET FOOD.
Also got this bag of cheese sweet potato chips from Smoothie King cuz heard it tastes awesome.
And the verdict is that IT IS SO AWESOME.
Crunchy, salty and sweet at the same time, I don't know what can beat that.
Also let me introduce this drink to you that everyone there is crazy about.
In this cute pear shaped bottle contains very creamy and rich banana milk.
They even have strawberry flavour and melon. I LOVE THE MELON SO MUCH.
We went to the supermarket to get 6 bottles of each back to drink. I miss drinking it!!!! :')
DAY 5
Bade farewell to the hotel after breakfast in the morning :'(
We got some treats from Paris Baguette the night before and had it for bfast.
Didn't wanna leave..... :::'''((((((
At the airport... We saw a performance type of thing of a traditional Korean wedding going on.
*waving to us peasants*
They are all so fair it's unfair.
LUNCH. Mom's udon soup and sushi.
Can you say yum???
Claud's beef and egg rice.
Udon and sushi set.
And my black bean paste ramen and spicy soup ramen combo.
I love their JA JIANG MIAN!!!! :') I like the sweet sauce. Different from SGP but I love it.
Always request for a window seat if you can so that you can be in awe of the fluffiest clouds floating in the sky. Also for once you can feel like everything is sooo small beneath you and that such is life.
Take it easy.
Western food on the plane, all day errrday. Mashed potato, chicken, mushroom sauce, and steamed veg. I love the cheese and crackers omg!!! The cheese spread was pretty darn good.
What I love about afternoon and night flights is that they give you ice-cream. And this premium cheesecake ice-cream above is dabomb.com.
So that is all. This wraps up my entire Seoul trip.
It was short but fulfilling and fruitful :') Sigh I can't wait to go back again.
Thanks Mom once again for sponsoring.
