Birthday 2.0 Part 3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME ;8)

LJ was really nice to pop by at 12am with my favourite strawberry shortcake, a lovely card and some candy! He did the same thing the previous year so hmm I was pretty much anticipating it :p
People starting wishing me via text and Fred even called from camp to wish me. T'was really unexpected and it made me smile : ) Tq!!

Went for afternoon service and I promise that it's by far the best sermon I've ever heard and received.
It was as if it's a birthday speech meant for me to understand. The title was CLOSURE.
And indeed I needed lots of closure. I was feel rather moody about turning 20 and no longer being a teen. I even thought of telling people i'm 'twenteen' now because I really dread growing up.
Well it was probably cause I didn't have much closure... that I'm suddenly going to be an adult and I have to think, act and behave like one. The thought of it scares me and I was just... Afraid.

Not only that kind of closure. But also towards things and people.
The pastor talked about forgiveness and he quoted Lewis B. Smedes,
'To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.'
People started laughing probably because they came to a realisation that we are the ones harbouring the hatred and bearing grudges with people. In other words, forgiving means giving yourself the permission to move on with your life.

Gosh I felt so enlightened and liberated after that. My heart seemed to release itself slowly and I felt better. It's not that I harbour a lot of hatred but sometimes I tend to bear grudges when I'm angry and pissed off. And I'll be reminded of the past and bring it back to piss myself off even more. Ack!
So anyway, I'm extremely thankful for this gift :)

Headed to lunch at Upper Thomson with the family to celebrate after church!
Tomoe Japanese Cuisine.

I love their bento sets because they have a wide variety.
I was craving for udon, sushi, sashimi and tempura and they have it all in one set!
It's like the ultimate combo ;)

Saw some pretty dandelions on the way back to the car after that.
Sis went to use the umbrella to sweep them HAHAHA and I was like omg you're so mean!!!
But the petals/furry things looked so beautiful fluttering around so I told her to let me try it.
And boy was it fun it's like snow!!!!
Thank you to everyone who celebrated my birthday with me, wished me via phone or fb or twitter, and gave me gifts or red packets!!! I appreciate the time, effort and thought into making me happy and feeling special these few days :') I love all the gifts too!!!

Alright time to wash up and head for bed.
Work tomorrow again!!! *laughs n cries*
Oh well at least I get to meet Evan for 8 minutes before going to work :p
